Integration Solution Architect
Permanent (Full Time)
Birmingham, UK (Remote with occasional on-site collaboration)

Their expertise spans from tackling tactical technology replacements to formulating strategic AI initiatives. They assist with challenges such as replacing legacy point-to-point integrations, enabling self-service automation across business units, or developing tailored strategies to meet unique client needs in terms of pace and scalability.
About the Role
This consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Integration Solution Architect to strengthen their integration practice. This role is ideal for individuals transitioning from solution architecture into deeper enterprise integration expertise.
You will collaborate with senior architects and delivery teams to design high-quality, scalable integration solutions for clients, with a focus on best practices and business alignment.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and documentation of end-to-end integration solutions, translating business and technical requirements into well-structured architecture.
- Contribute to discovery and requirements-gathering workshops, analysing client and stakeholder needs for seamless integration solutions.
- Produce solution design documentation, including:
- Architecture diagrams
- Data flow maps
- Integration specifications
- Work alongside development teams, ensuring technical implementations align with agreed designs.
- Evaluate and recommend integration platforms and tooling, with a particular focus on Workato and iPaaS solutions.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and assumptions in proposed designs, escalating concerns where necessary.
- Assist in pre-sales activities, including:
- Scoping meetings
- Effort estimation
- Proposal writing
- Continuously expand knowledge in integration patterns, API design, and enterprise architecture principles.

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- 1+ years of experience in a Solution Architect role or comparable function, preferably within an integration or technology consultancy.
- Background in either Business Analysis or Integration Development (cross-field transitions encouraged).
- Strong foundational knowledge of:
- Integration concepts (REST/SOAP APIs, messaging patterns, event-driven architecture, data transformation)
- Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar iPaaS platforms
- Workato experience or certification is highly desirable in strengthening applications.
- Ability to produce clear, well-structured technical documentation and diagrams (e.g., using Lucidchart, Visio).
- Strong communication skills, facilitating engagement across technical and non-technical teams.
- Exposure to Agile deliverability methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (preferably Workato Automation Pro or equivalent).
- Prior experience working in client-facing or consultancy settings.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow.
- Understanding of data governance and API security principles.

Salary Range: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum
