Integration Solution Architect
Permanent (Full Time) Location: Birmingham, UK (Remote with occasional on-site collaboration)
Infinite Talent have partnered with a growing technology consultancy specialising in helping organisations modernise and automate their technology landscapes. Their expertise spans tactical technology replacements to strategic AI initiatives, covering challenges like legacy point-to-point integrations, self-service automation, and strategic integration roadmaps. Their approach is tailor-made to match unique client requirements, including pace, scale, and governance needs.
They’re seeking an enthusiastic and driven Integration Solution Architect to join their expanding integration practice. Ideal for those early in a Solution Architecture career, this role focuses on designing scalable integration solutions, guiding delivery teams, and collaborating with senior architects. Your work will blend technical depth with business focus, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and documentation of end-to-end integration solutions, translating business and technical requirements into clear architecture deliverables.
- Contribute to discovery and requirements-gathering workshops, collaborating with clients and stakeholders to clarify their integration needs.
- Produce solution design documentation, including:
- architecture diagrams
- data flow maps
- integration specifications
- Work closely with development teams to align build quality with agreed design principles.
- Assist in evaluating integration platforms and tooling, with a focus on Workato and iPaaS solutions.
- Identify and escalate risks, assumptions, and dependencies within proposed solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities, including:
- scoping efforts
- effort estimations
- proposal writing
- Continuously expand expertise in:
- integration patterns
- API design
- enterprise architecture principles

What You Will Bring
Core Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a Solution Architect role (or equivalent), preferably in an integration or technology consultancy setting.
- A background in Business Analysis or Integration Development (cross-discipline candidates welcome for career transition).
- Strong grasp of integration concepts, including:
- APIs (REST/SOAP)
- messaging patterns
- event-driven architecture
- data transformation
- Hands-on experience with at least one iPaaS platform (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services).
- Workato experience or certification is highly desirable and may strengthen your application.
- Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation and diagrams (tools like Lucidchart or Visio preferred).
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, comfortable engaging both technical teams and non-technical clients.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.

Nice-to-Haves
- Workato Automation Pro or equivalent certification.
- Experience in a client-facing or consultancy environment.
- Familiarity with common enterprise platforms like:
- Salesforce
- SAP
- ServiceNow
- Insight into data governance and API security principles.
