Job Title: Solution Architect
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in enterprise integration, API architecture, governance and MuleSoft to support a major transformation programme within a leading automotive organisation.
This role will be responsible for defining integration strategies, governing architectural standards and delivering scalable API-led solutions across a complex enterprise landscape. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical delivery teams and enterprise architecture functions.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise integration and API architecture standards.
- Lead solution architecture activities across multiple programmes and projects.
- Design scalable, secure and reusable integration solutions.
- Establish and govern API-first principles and best practice.
- Produce high-level and low-level solution designs.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and Delivery Teams.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead architecture governance forums and design authority reviews.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
- Support vendor and third-party integration initiatives.
- Drive adoption of reusable integration patterns and frameworks.
- Manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
- Azure DevOps / Security certifications (advantageous)

- RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture and messaging technologies.
- Architecture review boards and design authority governance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience producing architecture artefacts and roadmaps.
