Location: London, UK (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months

AI skills are also a must. They should be able to create Agent scaffolds and create prompts. Experience with AI SDLC. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Solution Architect.
Principle Responsibilities
- Work as part of API Design and analysis team with responsibility for API Design, aligned to value streams.
- The solution architect is responsible for analysis of existing system and defining the API contract.
- Prepare Design Document and presentation for the stakeholders.
- Work with Global Enterprise/Solution Architects to review end-to-end technical design.
- Review/Ensure the technical design is technically coherent and future proof and compliance with technology standards and regulatory obligations.
- Identify any issues that may arise to delivery risk, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior management.
- Provide professional consultancy/support immediately for application teams' queries/requests.
What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced developer with a strong background in RESTful API design, contract-based development, and architecture modeling, who can deeply understand and analyze the functionalities of our existing applications to effectively design and implement APIs. The ideal candidate will be adept at making strategic decisions about what functionalities to expose through the API, determining the best methods for this exposure, and ensuring that the API design aligns with both the application's needs and the end users' requirements. This role involves modeling APIs to address all potential use cases, delivering solutions that are high-quality and easily accessible to API consumers, with a particular emphasis on following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and maintaining scalable, efficient RESTful APIs, developing systems based on well-defined contracts, and designing complex software architectures to enhance performance and scalability, all while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
For this role we are looking for someone with extensive exposure to API design using a range of different development tools, with experience designing and implementing APIs (REST, JSON).
You will be required to:
- APD (API Product Design) and ATD (API Technical Design) documentation per API required to support dedicated Value Stream outcomes (supporting all functional and non-functional requirements for all APIs for each VS outcome).
- Deliver reliable robust resilient and secure software solutions meeting strict operational specifications on a timely basis.
- Define application data and resource model such that the operations and relationships between resources are easily understood.
- Exhibit critical thinking leading to driving out efficient solutions capable of solving complex business requirements.
- Analysis and documenting of the existing platform, APIs and ESBs.
- Metadata submissions per API to support API discovery.
- Responsible for ALL APIs to be published with supporting documentation to our strategic API discovery tools, including Exchange.
- Collaboration on QA test case generation to support efficient and timely testing of APIs.
- Ongoing support to Engineering teams to resolving queries during PI lifecycle.
- Work with SAPI / Platform teams to ensure analysis is validated against system constraints/future states/standards.
- Regularly attend the API Product Design Working Group to ensure product level design decisions are consistent across Value streams.

What You Will Need to Succeed in the Role
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, particularly with .NET framework, API development, and microservices (.NET core, WCF, c7, RESTful APIs, SOAP, Microservices, SQL, Integration Patterns).
- Have a good understanding of RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge or experience in Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) and API design with implementation experience on ESB tools (RabbitMQ).
- Have experience in designing APIs and microservices using DDD principles.
- TAM products and enterprise security, DB Architecture on cloud, Enterprise Security mechanisms, data security regulations.
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns, cloud computing, and scalable system architecture.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, Secure Coding practices.
- Expertise with Cloud Technologies (Azure).
- Knowledge or experience in Azure APIM.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
