Contract Role - Inside IR35

Location - Milton Keynes
Rate - £700 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce the High-Level Design (HLD) for the DPC (DATA PRODUCT CATALOGUE) solution in the target Development environment.
  • Define target architecture for application hosting, database connectivity (PostgreSQL, Neo4j), secrets management, and platform integrations, in line with GDP architectural standards.
  • Lead architecture and Design Authority (DA) governance reviews to secure approval.
  • Assess existing DPC (DATA PRODUCT CATALOGUE) codebase, application architecture, and deployment artefacts; define refactoring approach to replace local components with enterprise services.
  • Design integration connectivity with enterprise metadata and lineage services.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery plan across design, build, integration, and deployment phases.
  • Coordinate with platform team on environment setup and governance/DA processes.

  • Enterprise solution architecture experience, ideally within banking/financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud architecture, Terraform/IaC, and API-based integration patterns.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and graph databases (Neo4j).
  • Familiarity with data mesh/data product concepts and metadata management platforms.
  • Experience presenting to Design Authority/governance boards.
  • Strong Understanding of Azure data services and API-based integration.
  • Next.js 14, FastAPI Python, Pipeline orchestration, Data transformation, Data quality, Casbin RBAC, Kuzu knowledge graph, Apache Iceberg, MCP AI server integration and ODCS v2 data contracts layer.
  • Experience in establishing the infrastructure, pipelines, processes, and governance required for production environment and integration with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, ITSM, IAM, and the bank's data platform.
  • Proven delivery/project management experience on enterprise data or platform engineering programmes.
  • Experience working within banking governance frameworks (Design Authority, release management).
  • Strong stakeholder management across vendor and client technology teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/hybrid delivery methods and CI/CD-based release cycles.
