It will involve close working with Account, Business Development, Product, Bid, Procurement, Project, and Service functions within Telent, and close working relationships with both suppliers and customers.
Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, the Solutions Architect will play a key role in delivering the Transport for London Video Management System (TVMS) programme. This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to travel to our Warwick and London offices.
What You’ll Do
- Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for the TVMS programme, ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements.
- Lead technical workshops with customers and stakeholders, providing consultancy and developing solution options to meet operational needs.
- Produce high-quality solution designs, technical specifications, architecture documentation, and supporting bid or project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and technology partners to ensure integrated, secure, and scalable solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and vendor solutions, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, supporting governance, risk management, testing, and deployment.
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams, presenting technical solutions and providing expert guidance where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
