Solution Architect

**Generalist Solution Architect |

International Airlines Group (IAG) Transform**

About Us

We are part of International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world’s leading airline groups and owner of some of the biggest brands in the sky.

IAG Transform provides creative and innovative solutions to drive sustainable transformation by delivering procurement and airline services, as well as group-wide systems across IAG. Each operating company benefits from the Transform centralised model, driving efficiencies, automation, and economies of scale.

Purpose of the Role

The Generalist Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end, integrated technology solutions that address complex business problems across the Group.

This is a technology-agnostic, delivery-focused architecture role, operating across multiple domains, platforms, products, and programmes rather than specialising in a singular area.

Key Responsibilities

The role translates business requirements into coherent, secure, scalable, and supportable solution designs, aligning with enterprise architecture principles while ensuring pragmatic delivery awareness. The position requires mobility, support for change across various programmes and projects, and accountability for local architecture outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

End-to-End Solution Design

  • Design end-to-end solutions spanning applications, integrations, data, infrastructure, cloud, security, and operational considerations.
  • Break down complex business problems into clear solution options, mapping out functional and non-functional requirements for full traceability.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose, proportionate solutions while adhering to enterprise standards without unnecessary complexity.

Multi-Domain & Generalist Delivery

  • Proactively work across multiple business domains and technology areas, applying solution architecture skills rather than domain specialisation.
  • Flexibly move between projects in different stages of delivery, supporting a broad portfolio of initiatives without siloed or point-specific narrow-thinking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
