Position Description

At CGI, we help clients solve complex business challenges by designing innovative technology solutions that deliver lasting value. As a Solution Architect – Solution Owner, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping winning solutions for large, strategic opportunities, working with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define services that are commercially competitive, technically robust, and aligned to business outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to influence major transformation programmes, collaborate with experts across CGI, and make a tangible impact from initial engagement through to successful delivery in an environment that encourages innovation, ownership, and continuous professional growth.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the Global Technology Operations (GTO) solution for major multi-million-pound bids, taking ownership of the end-to-end solution throughout the pre-sales lifecycle. Working closely with Opportunity Pursuit Leads, technical specialists, and business stakeholders, you will ensure solutions are innovative, commercially competitive, and fully aligned to client objectives while meeting governance, quality, and delivery standards.

You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure, cloud, networks, end user services, and IT service management, bringing together technical expertise to develop compelling proposals that maximise value for both clients and CGI. You'll also help strengthen our bid capability by sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and driving continuous improvement across the solution development process.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
