Solution Architect / Solution Engineer
Location
This position is currently available in the following locations:
- Hong Kong
- London, U.K.
- Remote / Hybrid friendly
Type
- Full Time
- Hired at multiple seniority levels (see below)
About The Role
We are hiring a Solution Architect or Solution Engineer to build the layer that sits between our product and our customers — the Reference Solutions, methodology, and accelerators that turn every Forward-Deployed engagement from a custom build into a templatised starting point.
If a Forward-Deployed Engineer can ship a customer in six weeks today, your job is to make the next deployment ship in three — by codifying the patterns, agents, and methodology that recur across engagements. You are the connective tissue between Product Engineering (the platform) and the Forward-Deployed pods (the customers).
You Will
- Own one or more Reference Solutions — vertical (e.g., Banking onboarding, Healthcare triage) or horizontal (e.g., enterprise search, knowledge agent, document workflows)
- Work in a remote and hybrid-friendly model — you do not need to sit in an office or at a customer site, but you are accountable for proactive checkpoints, clear async updates, and visible progress independent of supervision
- Be the technical enabler for the Forward-Deployed Consultants and Engineers — your assets are their starting point on every new engagement
- Be part of a small senior product team — direct collaboration with founders, Product Architects, and the Forward-Deployed pods
- Shape what an AI-native solution architecture function looks like for enterprise customers — joining a small team to define the model, not inherit one
- Be coached by founders, former IBM Technology Thought Leaders, and senior solution architects
Responsibilities
- Designing and building Reference Solutions on top of our platform — full reference implementations including agent designs, prompts, evals, integrations, deployment patterns, and rollout playbooks
- Codifying our delivery methodology — discovery templates, scoping artefacts, success-metric blueprints — so every Forward-Deployed engagement starts from a shared baseline
- Partnering with Forward-Deployed Engineers and Consultants: pre-engagement architecture support, mid-engagement unblocking, post-engagement asset capture
- Curating and maintaining the Reference Solution library — keeping it current, searchable, and discoverable from inside live engagements
- Working with Product Architects to feed gaps and platform requests upstream — your team is the loudest internal customer of the platform
- Running internal enablement: brown-bag sessions, solution clinics, technical pairing with new Forward-Deployed hires
- Supporting Enterprise Sales on technical solutioning for new opportunities — reference architectures, demo flows, RFP responses, technical Q&A
- Architects also: lead solution-level technical reviews, mentor mid-level engineers, set the bar for what a "shippable Reference Solution" looks like

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong solutioning background — you have shipped enterprise solutions end-to-end, ideally a mix of platform / SaaS product work and customer-facing solution architecture
- Deep technical skill across at least two of the following:
- Agentic AI design — LLM orchestration, RAG, tool use, evals, guardrails, observability
- Backend / integration engineering in Python / Node.js / Go (FastAPI, NestJS, Loopback or similar)
- Frontend / app engineering in React / Vue / Next.js
- Cloud and integration patterns — API design, identity (OAuth / SSO / SAML), enterprise data sources, security
- Industry workflows in banking, insurance, healthcare, construction, or public services
- Demonstrated pattern recognition — you spot the third repeated build and templatise it before someone has to do it a fourth time
- Comfortable in two modes: deep technical building, and clear customer-facing communication
- Strong written communication — your Reference Solution docs, methodology playbooks, and architecture diagrams are the artefacts the rest of the team builds against
- Proactive, low-supervision operator — you raise risks early, run your own checkpoints, and keep Sales, Product, and Forward-Deployed teams in the loop without being asked
- Experience working with or directing AI agents as collaborators (Claude, GPT, Cursor, or comparable agentic tools)
- Strong sense of humor, low ego, and a genuine team player
Seniority Levels & Career Path
This role is hired at multiple seniority levels — we calibrate the title, scope, and compensation to your experience and demonstrated impact. The Architect title denotes the senior end of the track; the Engineer title denotes mid-level and below. All levels are full members of the product team — Associates are not "assistants".

- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Sets the long-arc direction for our Reference Solutions and methodology across multiple verticals.
- Mentors Senior Architects, represents Solutions in customer technical reviews, leads cross-pod initiatives with Product and Forward-Deployed.
Senior Solution Architect
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Owns a major Reference Solution end-to-end.
- Leads enablement for the Forward-Deployed teams in that area, coaches Solution Engineers, drives the gap-and-fix loop with Product Engineering.
