Role overview
As a Solution Engineer at Bluestone PIM, you lead the technical sales engagement throughout the entire customer buying journey. Working closely with Account Executives, partners, and customer stakeholders, you own the technical strategy for each opportunity, from discovery and solution architecture to evaluation, risk mitigation, and executive alignment. You ensure that customer requirements are translated into a compelling, achievable solution vision while building confidence among both business and technical audiences. Success in this role requires a combination of technical credibility, commercial awareness, relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles through to a successful outcome.
💻 What you'll do day-to-day
Technical Qualification & Solution Alignment:
- Partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to assess and qualify technical, functional, and business requirements throughout the sales process.
- Leading technical discovery conversations with prospects and partners to understand their current technology landscape, integration requirements, data management challenges, and success criteria.
- Identifying solution fit, potential risks, implementation considerations, and key technical stakeholders early in the evaluation process.
- Translating customer requirements into a clear solution strategy and establishing a shared vision of how Bluestone PIM can deliver business value.

Technical Consultation:
- Acting as a trusted technical advisor, offering insights into how prospects and SI Partners can successfully implement and integrate Bluestone PIM into a composable architecture.
- Providing recommendations and best practices for optimizing the implementation process to achieve business objectives.
- Know the MACH principles and composable commerce architecture to demonstrate the business value and implications to prospects.
- Candidates must have hands-on experience working with REST APIs.
Proof of Value (POV):
- Leading the development and execution of Proof of Value, showcasing the practical application of Bluestone PIM within the client's and SI Partner's specific environment.
- Ability to set up data models and demo flows, plus basic front-end skills for developing MVP plugins, is a must.
Collaboration:
- Working closely with Enterprise Account Executives and Partners to align technical solutions with client business goals.
- Collaborating with the Marketing, Product, and Development teams to communicate prospects and SI Partner feedback to contribute to ongoing product enhancements.
👏 What makes you a great fit
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role with SaaS solutions in a B2B environment.
- Degree in computer science, engineering (electrical, mechanical, or civil).
- Proficient English and a second European language would be a plus.
- Proven experience as a sales engineer or in a similar role, ideally in the software or technology industry.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possess strong presentation skills and communicate professionally in written responses to emails, proposals, and formal RFPs.
- Strong understanding of composable commerce and, ideally, Product Information Management (PIM) concepts.
- Solution selling experience in large-scale evaluations that involve multiple departmental stakeholders, such as Product, E-Commerce, Operations, IT, and Security.
- Experience with PIM, DAM, and/or ERP solutions is preferred but not required.
- Your passion for technology and AI, and your ability to provide valuable technical insights, contribute to the success of our clients and SI Partners.
- Proficient in AI-assisted rapid prototyping and AI-native development.
