Solution Engineer
Solution Engineer Manufacturing Industry £40k - £50k DOE + bonus Predominately remote Must be able to travel to clients across the UK and attend monthly meetings in Birmingham
Our client is a highly respected consultancy specialising in manufacturing technologies across the FMCG sector, the aerospace and defence industries. Supporting clients throughout the UK and Ireland, they combine frontline operational expertise, modern technologies and industrial know-how to deliver solutions that create measurable improvements on the shop floor.
This is an ideal opportunity for a developer who wants to move beyond simply writing code and start solving real-world operational challenges, working directly with customers to transform manufacturing performance.
The Role
As a Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering technology solutions that improve manufacturing operations and processes.
Working closely with customers and Solution Architects, you will help identify business challenges, map processes, develop solutions and support successful delivery across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-world technology solutions using tools such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, C#, or low-code platforms
- Work directly with clients to understand manufacturing processes, challenges and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to define solution designs and implementation approaches
- Support process mapping, solution development and project delivery activities
- Act as a trusted technology partner to customers in a consultancy-style environment
- Help manufacturers leverage technology to improve efficiency, visibility and operational performance
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building practical solutions and working closely with end users and stakeholders. You may come from a software development, systems development or Business Analyst background and be keen to apply your skills in a more customer-facing, solution-oriented role. Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
