Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and curious individual to join our Solution Design team. In this role, the successful candidate will help design and evolve investment and risk management strategies for both existing and prospective clients, while contributing to the development of new solutions to meet future needs.
The team works closely with colleagues across portfolio management, quantitative analysis, client coverage, solution design to help deliver thoughtful and client-focused outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in investment strategy while working on innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. The individual will be supported to grow skills, build on confidence, and progress their career over time.
Role Responsibilities
- Build an understanding of Insight's investment strategies and solutions, and how these can be adapted to meet the needs of different clients.
- Work with clients and consultants to develop tailored investment solutions, with opportunities to take a leading role over time.
- Participate in client meetings alongside client directors, contributing to discussions and representing the solutions team.
- Support the presentation of Insight's strategies and capabilities in consultant research meetings.
- Contribute to new business proposals and pitches, particularly the design of investment solutions.
- Support client directors in responding to client queries and day-to-day requests.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to model liabilities and help design liability hedging and asset protection strategies.
- Work with portfolio managers to develop and implement portfolio strategies, including supporting transitions and refining client solutions.
- Contribute to team-wide initiatives, including strategic projects, business planning, and the development of new investment strategies.

Experience Required
We are interested in candidates who bring a combination of the following skills, experience, and potential:
- Actuarial certification or CFA designation would be advantageous but not essential.
- An interest in investment strategy and financial markets.
- Experience with, or material exposure to, analytical frameworks such as asset-liability modelling (ALM).
- Understanding of institutional investors (such as pension schemes or insurance companies).
- A problem-solving mindset, with curiosity and a desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, while also taking ownership of tasks with appropriate support.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain potentially complex ideas in a straightforward way.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Interest in technology and how tools such as AI can support internal processes and better outcomes for clients.
