Our Public Sector client are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect during a period of significant change. This role will help shape how their technology evolved over the next 5-7 years and contribute to the design of future solutions. This role is Inside IR35, a duration of 6 months, and will require 2x days onsite at their office in Greater Glasgow.
Working in a small architecture team, you will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers and delivery teams to design solutions that support business objectives and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn business requirements into practical and supportable technology solutions
- Design end-to-end solutions across cloud, on-premises infrastructure, applications and integration's
- Produce clear High-level design documentation and service designs
- Work closely with stakeholders, suppliers and deliver teams to support the implementation and operation of solutions
- Contribute to architectural standards and technology direction
- Develop service design documentation defining how solutions will be supported, maintained and operated

Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Solution Designer within complex environments
- Experience designing solutions across Azure (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and on-premises infrastructure
- Ability to translate future-state business requirements into solution designs
- Strong experience producing HLDs, service design documentation and architecture decision records
- Ability to engage with and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of operational support, service management and live environments
- Experience working within regulated, highly visible or mission-critical organizations
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles
- Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g. APIs, ESBs, message queues)
- Experience designing or integrating with enterprise applications (e.g. ERP, CRM, EAM, CMS)
- Strong knowledge of service management principles (ITIL) and experience contributing to service design and operational readiness.
- Demonstrable experience designing solutions that span infrastructure (cloud/on-prem), applications and integration layers.
