Solution Architect – People Platform
Day Rate: £550/day (Inside IR35) | Location: Leeds/Halifax (2 days per week)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Our client, a top global organization, is looking for a Solution Architect to join a major People Platform transformation programme, helping shape the future of enterprise HR technology. You'll work across modern cloud platforms, SaaS applications, AI-enabled solutions, and enterprise integrations, collaborating with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Design end-to-end solution architectures across enterprise applications and cloud platforms
- Produce solution designs, integration patterns, and architectural documentation
- Define technical standards, architecture principles, and best practices
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, Enterprise Architects, and delivery teams
- Evaluate and introduce AI-driven capabilities into enterprise solutions
- Assess technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support cloud-based architectures across GCP, Azure, and SaaS platforms
- Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders
- Participate in architecture governance, design reviews, and strategic planning
- Help shape the future architecture roadmap for the People Platform

What we're looking for
- Proven Solution Architecture experience within large enterprise environments
- Strong experience designing cloud-based solutions using Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience producing solution designs, architecture documentation, and integration models
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work across both technical and business teams
- Experience assessing technical risks and driving architectural decisions
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
- Interest or experience in AI-enabled enterprise solutions

Desirable
- Experience with HR, People, or Workforce technology platforms (e.g., Workday)
- Experience with SaaS solution architecture
- Enterprise integration architecture
- TOGAF or equivalent Architecture certification
- Experience within Financial Services or other regulated environments
- Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance principles
