Senior Solutions Architect
About the Role
Cohesity is the leader in AI-powered data security. Over 13,600 enterprise customers—including over 85 of the Fortune 100 and nearly 70% of the Global 500—trust Cohesity to strengthen resilience while providing Gen AI insights into data.
We are looking for experienced architects who can:
- Develop detailed architecture and transition blueprints that drive successful customer deployments, migrations, and platform transformation initiatives.
- Create repeatable deployment blueprints used by services, delivery, partner, and customer teams to deploy secondary storage solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing, and customer support to build professional services practices—from assessment and architecture design to migration planning, deployment, and governance.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others. This role requires technical expertise, strong customer relationships, and a passion for delivering high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
- Deliver architecture designs and professional services to Cohesity customers.
- Lead transition initiatives from assessment to deployment completion, acting as the technical authority for:
- Migration strategy
- Workload prioritization
- Execution planning
- Identify risks (technical, operational, security, business) and establish mitigation plans before implementation.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executives.
- Review and approve design deviations, implementation decisions, and deployment readiness milestones.
- Build strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams.
- Collaborate with product solutions, product management, and engineering teams to align technology capabilities with customer needs.

Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Present architecture recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to stakeholders.
- Engage directly with customers to assess needs and recommend Cohesity solutions.
- Document detailed solution designs, including:
- Architecture diagrams
- Sizing specifications
- Integration requirements
- Risk assessments
- Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering on challenges, feature gaps, automation, and customer requirements.
- Define technical architecture, sizing, and performance to meet customer needs.
- Work with engineers to ensure deployment designs are successfully implemented.
- Develop best practices for deployment designs, translating them into project plans.
- Continuously refine deliverables as new features/products are released.
- Improve post-deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates).
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of professional IT experience.
