Senior Manager – Solution Architect
Salary: Up to £90,000 Location: Hybrid (Bristol)
We’re partnering with a dynamic consultancy specialising in solving complex technology and digital transformation challenges for organisations. As they grow their architecture capability, we’re seeking a Senior Managing Solution Architect to join their leadership team.
This is a senior leadership role with real technical authority, reporting directly to the Chief Enterprise Architect. Your responsibility will be to own architectural delivery across multiple client engagements, make strategic decisions, and shape practice standards. If you thrive in a role where you drive impact and shape industry practices, this could be the next step in your career.
Responsibilities as a Solution Architect
- Lead architectural delivery across multiple client engagements and serve as the senior technical escalation point
- Design and govern enterprise-grade solution architectures—including cloud, data, and integration patterns
- Engage with senior client stakeholders to shape technical strategy and translate business requirements into impactful architectural decisions
- Contribute to practice development and help grow the internal architecture capability
- Define and enforce technical governance, security standards, and compliance frameworks
- Support business development, including pre-sales and proposal writing
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants and analysts
- Manage technical risk and oversee integration across client technology estates
- Communicate architecture decisions effectively—to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
