About us:
We are the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve complex operational problems. Due to some exciting growth within our Defence business, we are interested in speaking with an experienced Solution / Technical Architect.
Role Location:
Due to the nature of the work, this role will require regular weekly visits to our customers sites in Bristol and/or Corsham.
The Opportunity:
As a Solutions Architect working on a range of Software, Infrastructure & Network Solutions, you will take a leading role in the delivery team, from defining/assessing high level technical architectures to managing relationships with our customers and taking accountability for delivering projects to agreed timelines. You will oversee the full project lifecycle including project concept formalisation; requirements analysis and specification; architecture design; Infrastructure / software implementation and delivery; training and support and maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting technical Statements of Requirements for networks, applications and platform solutions
- Defining and assessing technical architectures, solutions & business requirements
- Production of high- and low-level technical & operating model designs
- Providing consultancy support to customers, assisting them with technology choices and solutions to complex problems
- Using a wide range of technologies, specialising in the use of open-source libraries and components
- Deploying software systems to a mixture of environments including public (AWS and Azure) and private cloud
- Managing relationships with our customers
- Ensuring your knowledge and professional development keeps pace with an ever-changing technology landscape
- Providing leadership and support to delivery team members as required

The Fit:
We are looking for an experienced Architect who has proven experience working with the MOD to design, assess and implement large-scale, cloud native applications and platform solutions. Additionally we are looking for experience of:
- Creating technical statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
- Design and Implementation of solutions to support digital transformation and the modernisation of IT Infrastructure and services
- Leading enterprise architecture planning and strategy.
- Production of high & low level technical designs.
- Taking accountability for key project deliverables.
- Leading technical engagement with senior users / customers.
Due to the industries we work in, we would prefer applicants to currently hold high level security clearance. To qualify for this, you must be a British citizen and have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years.
