Solution Architect – SAP (Data Migration Lead)
Fixed Term Contract (2 Years) Location: Manchester Airport Working Arrangement: Flexible/Hybrid

The Role
You’ll join the Finance Transformation programme as the SAP Solution Architect – Data Migration Lead to:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Migration Strategy: Define, design, and deliver the target data architecture for the migration to S/4HANA.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with internal stakeholders, senior executives, and a specialist S/4HANA implementation partner to align business and technical solutions.
- Process Re-engineering: Design and optimise key processes for the ECC to S/4HANA transition, ensuring feasibility, regulatory compliance, and measurable value.
- Data Ownership:
- Oversee data migration activities aligned with architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Approve master data designs within scope, resolving conflicts and approving revised designs under change requests.
- Bridge Business-Technology Gap: Act as the critical liaison between executives, business units, and technical teams, ensuring seamless stakeholder communication and buy-in.
- Post-Go-Live Support: Extend oversight through Explore Phase to stabilisation, validating data integrity and process effectiveness.
- Regulatory & Agile Compliance: Ensure data solutions align with legal/technical standards while maintaining adaptability to evolving requirements.

What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- SAP Data Architecture Expertise:
- Proficient in SAP data technology tools (e.g., code buses, logs, data transfers for S/4HANA migration).
- In-depth knowledge of master data objects across ECC/S/4HANA landscapes.
- Migration & Data Governance:
- Hands-on experience with full ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation projects from start to finish.
- Extensive background in data governance, migration methodologies, and systems conversion.
- Stakeholder & Change Leadership:
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus with C-level and technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills to align on complex solutions.
- Business Acumen: Commercially astute, with a focus on driving efficiency, cost controls, and operational excellence.
