Shape the future of Defence capability
This isn't a traditional Solution Architecture role.
You'll play a leading role in developing the next generation of defence capabilities, working alongside senior military, government and industry stakeholders to design innovative technical solutions that support complex operational environments.
Our client is an established UK cyber security and secure information exchange specialist delivering mission-critical technology into Defence, Government and other highly regulated sectors. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Principal Solution Architect to provide technical leadership across complex defence experimentation, capability development and multinational programmes.
The Role
As a senior technical authority, you'll lead solution architecture activities across major programmes, ensuring operational requirements are translated into robust, scalable and secure technical solutions.
You'll work across technical strategy, customer engagement, innovation and delivery, influencing future capability whilst providing architectural leadership across multiple workstreams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
