Introduction
Wipro is looking for a Solution Architect to join our API Lab team supporting one of the UK's leading financial institutions. As the Solution Architect, you will shape the architectural direction of the API Marketplace platform, enabling teams to discover, build, consume, and reuse APIs securely and at scale. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver innovative, cloud-native solutions that accelerate digital transformation and improve developer experiences.

Your Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Defining and owning the architectural strategy for the API Marketplace platform
- Leading the design of scalable cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Partnering with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver strategic technology roadmaps
- Driving API architecture standards, governance, security, and best practices across the API ecosystem
- Influencing architectural decisions, innovation initiatives, and technology adoption across multiple stakeholders
Mandatory Skills
You will have a strong understanding of:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and cloud-native services
- Enterprise API architecture, REST APIs, API gateways, and API lifecycle management
- API security standards including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS
- Microservices, event-driven architecture, and Domain-Driven Design
- DevOps, CI/CD practices, resilience, scalability, and security-by-design principles

Desirable Skills
Ideally, you will be familiar with:
- Apigee, IBM API Connect, Kong Gateway, or Azure API Management
- Hybrid and multi-cloud architecture patterns
- Developer portals, API products, analytics, and marketplace platforms
- Modern data architecture and event streaming technologies
- Emerging technologies including AI and GenAI solutions
