💰 Up to £85,000 + 15% Bonus + 10% Pension

We're partnering with a leading global finance business, currently investing heavily in modernising its technology landscape and expanding its Architecture function.
This is an opportunity to join a business where architecture is central to technology strategy, working across enterprise transformation programmes that will shape the future of their application landscape, cloud platform and digital capabilities.
You'll work closely with senior business stakeholders, engineering teams and product functions to design scalable, cloud-native solutions that solve real business problems while aligning with long-term enterprise architecture.
The Opportunity
You'll become part of a growing Architecture & Design team responsible for shaping technology across the organisation.
Working across multiple transformation initiatives, you'll design end-to-end solutions spanning application modernisation, cloud adoption, systems integration and new digital capabilities, ensuring every solution is scalable, secure and aligned to enterprise standards.

This role offers genuine influence, giving you the opportunity to guide engineering teams, shape architectural standards and contribute to the long-term technology direction of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing end-to-end solution architectures across enterprise applications and business platforms.
- Translating complex business requirements into scalable, practical technical solutions.
- Working closely with engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure architectural quality.
- Designing cloud-native solutions across Azure (IaaS, PaaS & SaaS).
- Defining integration strategies across APIs, microservices and enterprise systems.
- Leading architecture across digital transformation, application modernisation and integration programmes.
- Producing architecture documentation, solution designs and system models using industry-standard approaches.
- Collaborating with business, product, engineering and executive stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Providing technical leadership through design reviews, mentoring and architectural governance.
- Challenging solution designs where appropriate to minimise technical debt and ensure long-term scalability.
- Promoting modern engineering practices, automation and AI-enabled ways of working across delivery teams.

What They're Looking For
- Proven experience operating as a Solution Architect within enterprise technology environments.
- Strong background designing cloud-native application architectures using Azure.
- Experience delivering architecture across large-scale transformation, integration and modernisation programmes.
- Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, distributed systems and integration patterns.
- Experience producing architecture documentation using UML, BPMN or similar modelling techniques.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle in Agile environments.
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, design patterns and enterprise architecture.
- Passion for improving engineering standards, promoting best practice and mentoring delivery teams.
