Solutions Engineer – BCDR

Position Summary
As a Solutions Engineer – BCDR, you will be a trusted technical advisor to our Sales team and prospective MSP partners, showcasing the value of Slide’s BCDR solutions. You’ll play a critical role in driving adoption of Slide's products by conducting technical demonstrations, supporting proof-of-concept (POC) deployments, and producing enablement content. Your blend of technical depth, communication skills, and strategic thinking will help bridge the gap between business needs and product capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical resource for BCDR product sales opportunities across EMEA.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to understand partner requirements and design tailored BCDR solutions.
- Provide hands-on support during proof-of-concept trials and onboarding.
- Respond to technical RFPs, security questionnaires, and partner inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current MSP partners as a trusted advisor.
- Support trade shows, partner training sessions, and virtual/in-person webinars as a BCDR subject matter expert.
- Produce sales enablement materials such as competitive comparison guides, white papers, technical FAQs, and training decks.
- Contribute to product marketing initiatives and special projects such as go-to-market campaigns, launch documentation, and feature tutorials.
- Attend industry conferences and community events to represent Slide’s BCDR offerings and capture voice-of-partner insights.
- Stay current on product developments, industry trends, and competitive landscape in the BCDR space.
- Provide actionable feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams based on field interactions.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role—preferably in BCDR, cybersecurity, or cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of backup technologies, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity architecture.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, VMware, Hyper-V, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), and cloud platforms.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and executive-level audiences.
- Experience working with MSPs or in the managed services industry.
- Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for partner meetings, events, and conferences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with MSP BCDR products.
- Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and virtualization environments.
- Technical certifications such as VCP, MCSA, Network+.
- Familiarity with ZFS file systems and Linux-based backup appliances.
- Experience producing sales or marketing content for technical audiences.
