Job Requirements
Location: Hybrid (London office / remote) with travel
Responsible to: Lead Solutions Engineer
Job purpose: As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of Becrypt, bridging the gap between technical delivery and customer satisfaction. You will be the key technical point of contact for customers throughout the engagement.
The role involves collaborating with customers and partners to design, implement, and optimise solutions, while also providing training and consultancy, and support. Your feedback and customer insights will contribute to the product development lifecycle, ensuring our suite of products are continuously meeting the customer and market demands.
We are looking for a proactive self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, capable of managing multiple priorities with both a technical and strategic mindset. Flexibility for travel is essential.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout engagements by managing expectations, delivering timely solutions and ensuring consistent communication.
- Provide pre-sales technical support during the sales cycle, including architecture design, integration and product demonstrations.
- Lead technical evaluations, pilots and proof-of-concept initiatives simultaneously.
- Collaborate closely with the software engineering teams to understand all products in great technical detail.
- Identify new opportunities and feed insights into business development and sales processes.
- Deliver customised product demonstrations at customer/partner meetings, calls and conferences, supporting sales and marketing activities.
- Work closely with the product management teams advising on current and future client needs, providing input to product direction.
- Escalate and manage technical issues, through product management and engineering, to support deal closure and long-term customer success.
- Engage, train and support Becrypt partners and customers in territory to expand sales coverage and drive market awareness.
- Mutually agreed ad-hoc tasks.

Work Experience
Essential
- Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a traditional Technical Support/Presales role.
- Sharp troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong and up to date technical understanding of Microsoft technologies.
- Expertise in data security, risk analysis and threat models in the information security space.
- Experience with installation and configuration of a variety of security products.
- Experience with virtual desktop environments, preferably in both VMWare/ Omnissa and Citrix.
- High level Linux (Unix) configuration including networking, firewalls and VPNs.
- Experience using Cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker and microservices orchestration.
- Demonstrable ability to support the sales quota.
- Demonstrable success of using initiative and creativity in the development of solutions for partners and customers.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in remote or home office environments.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
