Help us drive revenue growth!
You win when our AE wins. We're looking for our first dedicated Solutions Engineer to convert Tiptap users and prospects into customers. You will work closely with the entire team, sharing your unique insights from sales meetings and your daily work with users to help us continue building something people want.
The core problem we're solving
Millions of people and AI agents around the world are working with the same thing right now: text documents. Humans interact with them through a rich text editor in the browser. Agents interact with them through APIs and structured data like JSON.
While the vast majority of users have no idea about the underlying technology, and even most web-savvy people think of a text editor as a simple piece of HTML, most of the content on the web comes through them.
And while it always seems like an easy problem to solve for web developers at first, it's extremely difficult and finicky to do well, even in the age of agentic coding and especially when you need to build more sophisticated agentic document workflows or editor UIs like Google Docs or Notion do.
Let's describe it like this: building document editing tools yourself feels like a Rubik's Cube that's almost solved. But if you don't know the formula for solving a Rubik's Cube, every turn you make makes it worse while you think you're getting closer. At some point it breaks you.
That's why we built Tiptap. Transforming this complexity into fun.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Hackathons
Four times a year, we host five-day hackathons in person at our Berlin HQ, travel covered. The purpose of the hackathon is to:
- Strengthen our team culture
- Hack and experiment with cutting-edge technologies and use cases around content editing
- Celebrate our achievements
Responsibilities
- Represent the technical side on customer calls alongside our AE, Tim, mostly with US prospects
- Build live demos and code samples that move active deals forward
- Run technical deep-dives with prospect engineering teams
- Guide prospects who don't yet know what to build. Most don't, and that's where you create value
- Feed customer signal back into product, closing the loop on the roadmap
Qualifications
- You're proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript and can write clean code and prototype customer-facing applications quickly.
- You've got hands-on React and Node.js experience across frontend and backend. Enough to build a convincing live demo, debug a prospect's integration on a call, and answer technical questions with depth.

- Excellent written and verbal communication. Clear, precise, and able to translate complex technical topics for an engineering audience.
- A strong sense of ownership: you take initiative, structure your own work, and bring clarity to ambiguity in an early-stage environment.
