Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant
London / WFH
to £90k + OTE
Are you a Solutions Engineer with technical pre-sales experience?
You could be progressing your career, working on cutting-edge security / encryption products at a successful and expanding software house that provides cyber security products to a range of finance, government, defence, law enforcement, and pharmaceutical companies.
Role Overview
As a Solutions Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant, you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial awareness, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales and solution design through to implementation, training, and ongoing success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers, partners, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
- Lead technical workshops, proof of concepts, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations, ensuring solutions are tailored to customer needs and delivered to the highest standard.
- Become a subject matter expert across the product portfolio, providing technical guidance during the sales process while helping customers realize long-term value from their investment.
- Shape product direction by feeding customer insights back into Engineering and Product teams.
- Support partner enablement, deliver technical training, identify new business opportunities, and play a key role in driving product adoption and market growth.

Location / WFH
You’ll be primarily working from home but must be flexible to travel to client sites, mainly London and the M4 corridor, although sometimes further afield.
About You
- Experience in a similar Technical Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer role.
- Deep understanding of Windows Servers / Microsoft products.
- Broad technical understanding of data security, risk analysis, and threat modeling techniques used in the Information Security space.
- High-level knowledge of Linux, networking, firewalls, VPN configuration, Docker, microservices, Cloud (Azure / AWS).
- Proactive, analytical, and advanced problem-solving abilities.
- Must be eligible to achieve DV Clearance (i.e., British citizen or resident for a minimum of 10 years).
