Partner with the best

As a Solutions International Commercial Coordinator, you will manage the full proposal lifecycle, from reviewing customer enquiries and specifications through solution development, commercial evaluation, customer engagement, contract review, and project handover. You will work closely with engineering, commercial, operations, quality, and leadership teams to ensure commercially sound and contractually aligned solutions that support customer and business objectives.

As a Solutions International Commercial Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing customer enquiry documentation and specifications.
  • Developing and engineering solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Preparing cost build-ups and proposed pricing based on developed solutions.
  • Determining appropriate charging mechanisms based on commercial and execution risks.
  • Presenting cost and pricing structures for review and approval.
  • Taking ownership of, coordinating, and leading bid activities through to contract award.
  • Preparing commercial review packages in accordance with the ITO process.
  • Engaging directly with customers throughout the proposal and negotiation process.
  • Reviewing Letters of Intent (LOIs), Purchase Orders (POs), and contracts to ensure suitability and alignment.
  • Tracking and reporting bid status to the AMS Global Leader and Commercial Leader on a regular basis.
  • Supporting project execution through awareness of commercial and contractual obligations.
  • Working in compliance with Baker Hughes Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Promoting the company’s core values, non-negotiables, and cultural pillars.
  • Preparing and participating in business review meetings with leadership teams.
  • Supporting the FPS Solutions Quality team to ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and relevant standards.
  • Driving financial performance through focus on Cost Out, Margin Improvement, Upside Opportunities, and Cash Collection.
  • Working in accordance with industry standards, company procedures, and established commercial practices.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • Have completed or be willing to complete required Baker Hughes training, including:
    • Mandatory Baker Hughes Training Induction Program
    • ITO Process Training
    • OTR Process Training
  • Bring approximately 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrate strong experience within commercial operations and project execution environments in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within Flexible Pipe Systems.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
  • Possess strong influencing and stakeholder-management skills when working with customers, suppliers, third parties, and internal functions.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with peers, customers, and leadership teams.
  • Have the ability to collect and analyze data, establish facts, and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach within a dynamic commercial environment.
  • Have strong knowledge of oil and gas engineering, operations, and commercial processes.
  • Be quality-driven and cost-focused.
  • Be willing to undertake occasional international travel.
