Solution Lead – NEC Digital Studio

We’re seeking an enterprising Solution Lead to join our dynamic team.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must have lived in the UK for 5+ consecutive years to qualify for the Security Clearance, which is essential for this role.
About the Role
You’ll be the key bridge between business needs, our technical/design teams, and delivery teams, ensuring tailored solutions that are robust, compelling and strategically aligned with NEC Digital Studio’s direction.
This is a hands-on, influence-driven role requiring in-depth experience in designing custom solutions for public sector clients. Your responsibility spans technical, non-teological, and strategic domains to shape scalable, client-valued proposals.
Key Responsibilities

Solution Ownership & Design
- Lead the entire end-to-end solution design process, aligning with client requirements and business outcomes.
- Deliver holistic solutions, connecting business needs with technical implementation, while engaging stakeholders throughout development and delivery.

Internal Product & Capability Development
- Contribute to internal initiatives designing new digital solutions.
- Define and shape new market propositions, ensuring they’re innovative, feasible and demand-driven.

Pre-Sales Solutioning
- Own and lead tailored responses for RFIs (Requests for Information), ITTs (Invitations to Tender), and procurement bids.
- Collaborate with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts), sub-consultants, bid teams, and client engagement to deliver competitive, direct solutions.

Lead Solution Workshops
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary teams—comprised of technical architects, engineering leads, support managers, UX experts and business analysts.
- Act as a neutral facilitator, orchestrating workshops to define integrated, scalable solutions for clients.

Solution Articulation
- Clearly present and translate technical solution designs into understandable narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Document and refine processes in solution documentation, decks, and sign-off materials.

Client Engagement -Gain deep insights into client needs and pain points to guide the development of feasible, innovative solutions.

Continuous Innovation
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends to refine existing solution offerings while shaping the technical roadmap for NEC.
What We Need from You

✅ Proven Experience as a:
- Solution Lead
- Solution Architect
- Other relevant IT/software delivery role within public-sector-facing ITS services.

✅ Technical Proficiency:
- Strong command of AWS and Azure cloud platform solutions.

✅ Pre-Sales & Bidding Experience
- Direct experience in leading solution definitions within bid processes.

✅ Communication & Facilitation Skills
- Fluent in articulating complex technical jargon across traditional and IT-led contexts.
- Ability to lead diverse workshops and collate stakeholder input efficiently.

✅ Problem-Solving Mindset
- Analytically driven in addressing and streamlining complex challenges.

✅ Public-Sector Relevance
- Highly beneficial: extensive experience working with UK public-sector clients.
