Job Description

At NEC Digital, you choose the path of no compromise. We provide industry-leading expertise across the full scope of a project, giving our customers the confidence and security they need to achieve great outcomes for users.

A partnership of best-in-class software delivery, with pioneering user-centred design services, we offer full end-to-end digital transformation expertise to the highest standards—from discovery to development and beyond—at a scale and quality unique in the market.

Security Clearance Requirement: You must have lived in the UK for 5 consecutive years or more to be eligible for the essential Security Clearance for this role.

We are seeking an enterprising Solution Lead to join our dynamic NEC Digital Studio team. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in designing tailored solutions for public sector clients. This role requires a hands-on approach and an understanding of the technical, non-technical, and strategic aspects of solution design, acting as the bridge between business needs, technical/design teams, and delivery, ensuring solutions are robust, compelling, and aligned with NEC Digital Studio’s strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Ownership and Design

    • Lead the end-to-end solution design process, from early concept and stakeholder engagement to delivery, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business capabilities.
    • Focus on integrating diverse subject matter experts (SMEs) to create scalable solutions.
  • Internal Product and Capability Development

    • Contribute to internal projects developing new digital solutions.
    • Lead teams to define technically proficient, deliverable propositions that meet market demand.
  • Pre-sales Solutioning

    • Own and lead responses for RFIs, ITTs, and tenders, collaborating with SMEs, sub-consultants, bid, and sales teams to develop compelling, differentiating solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
