Solutions Success Consultant

Solutions Success Consultant – Role Overview

MSP LAB is seeking an ambitious and driven Solutions Success Consultant to work closely with the principals of the business and our clients, providing technical consultancy, solution implementation, and driving sales revenue. This role is critical to fulfilling the company’s excellent reputation by maintaining our fantastic client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excel at managing, maintaining, and building relationships with clients.
  • Generate sales opportunities with existing accounts via phone, email, and social media.
  • Attend and exhibit at industry-leading events.
  • Maintain a laser-focus on up-to-date information and opportunities in the company’s CRM & PSA.
  • Leading to excellent sales methodologies and qualification skills.
  • Help the company meet and exceed its set sales targets.
  • Flourish above and beyond quarterly KPIs.
  • Excel at generating sales from an existing account base.

Required Competencies

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT solutions sales.
  • A driven, high-performing individual with a focus on success.
  • Impeccable commercial awareness, delivering clarity in structuring complex opportunities.
  • Ability to confidently discuss clients’ technology requirements.
  • Skills to generate, manage, negotiate, and close opportunities.
  • Must have a full UK driving license, access to a company vehicle, and be prepared for travel (including occasional overnight stays).

Responsibilities and Tasks

Your primary goal is to drive sales and deliver a market-leading customer experience through a consultative technical sales approach, while maintaining Service Excellence.

  • Maintain the existing client base via attentive account management, identifying new opportunities using our technology-focused portfolio and internal whitespace tracking.
  • Generate sales via phone, email, social media, and in-person client visits.
  • Build a healthy pipeline of projects and recurring sales.
  • Re-engage dormant accounts multiple times a year with new offerings.
  • Ensure the CRM & PSA systems are up to date and provide weekly/monthly forecasts.
  • Assist in managing client projects from discovery to completion.
  • Follow-up on targeted MSP LAB and vendor marketing campaigns.
  • Regular engagement on LinkedIn to strengthen brand presence, authority, and professional profile.
  • Develop and maintain structured account plans and IT roadmaps for customers.
  • Create detailed proposals and engage clients using a consultative approach.
  • Act as the point of escalation for all technical and sales-related customer queries.
  • Collaborate closely with all business departments to ensure a consistently positive client experience.
  • Stay informed on market/competitor activity and share insights to supply top-tier service.
  • Partner with in-house and vendor Pre-Sales teams to design and cost solutions.
  • Perform onsite assessments and produce actionable reports.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities to support business operations.

KPIs

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be agreed and reviewed quarterly.

Personal Attributes & Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Proven experience in IT solutions technical sales.
  • Strong commercial awareness, ideally with experience in Independent Schools or professional services.
  • Consistently outperforming targets through extensive sales activity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Top-tier organisational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
  • A self-starter who can optimise existing processes.
  • A suitable home-working environment as part of your working setup.
