Sommelier - Alto, Locke Canary Wharf

A brand new opening. A cellar to help build. A story to tell in every glass.

We are opening Alto at Locke Canary Wharf, and we are building our team from the ground up. Headed up by the brilliant Chris Dargavel, Alto is a brand new restaurant in one of London's most dynamic districts, and we are looking for a talented Sommelier to bring our wine offering to life from the very first pour.

This isn't a role where you work to someone else's list. As a new opening, you will be there from the very beginning, helping to shape the wine offering, the pairings, and the way we bring wine to the table. If you have always wanted a blank canvas to show what you can do, this is the venue to do it.

White Rabbit Hospitality is built on a love of proper hospitality and seriously good food. Alto will be no different.

Our Values, In Every Glass:

  • HOSPITALITY IS AT OUR CORE - You turn a glass of wine into a memorable part of the guest's experience.
  • WE DO THE RIGHT THING - You serve responsibly and uphold standards, storage, and safety without fail.
  • WE PURSUE EXCELLENCE - You obsess over pairings, presentation, and the perfect recommendation every time.
  • WE ARE ALL ENTREPRENEURS - You drive wine sales, manage stock, and take ownership of the cellar.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
