Purpose of the Role
As S&OP Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and ongoing development of Avara Foods' Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across our Chicken, Turkey and Logistics businesses. You'll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations, providing the analysis, reporting and modelling that helps drive business performance and informed decision-making.
This role can be based in Brackley or Hereford, with hybrid working available.
Your Key Responsibilities As S&OP Analyst Will Include
- Supporting the implementation and evolution of the S&OP process by developing tools, templates and models that enable effective planning and decision-making. Help document processes, workflows and key planning inputs.
- Analysing sales, forecast, inventory and supply chain data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Development and maintenance reports, dashboards and models to support performance monitoring and strategic planning.
- Working closely with teams across Sales, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain to gather planning assumptions, validate inputs and support alignment across the business.
- Preparing materials for monthly S&OP meetings and executive reviews.
- Tracking actual performance against forecast, providing insight and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and supporting improvement initiatives through data-driven analysis and practical solutions that enhance planning capability across the business.

What We Are Looking For As An S&OP Analyst
- Experience in an FP&A, business analysis, supply chain or operations role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling, pivot tables, lookups and reporting.
- Experience with Power BI and/or SQL would be advantageous.
- Degree or further qualification in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Economics or a related discipline is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships across multiple functions.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
