Job Description

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Source Inspectors with a strong background in aerospace and manufacturing to support our operations related to a fuselage program.

This role is critical in ensuring that all supplied components and assemblies meet strict quality, engineering, and regulatory standards before final integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final source inspections at supplier facilities to verify compliance with:
    • Engineering drawings
    • Specifications
    • Purchase order requirements
  • Interpret aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation with high accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to:
    • AS9100
    • FAA regulations
    • Customer-specific quality standards
  • Document inspection results and generate detailed reports
  • Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Identify non-conformances and collaborate with suppliers to implement:
    • Corrective actions
    • Preventive measures
  • Lead and support NCR (Non-Conformance Report) resolution, driving:
    • Root cause analysis
    • Actions to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and supplier quality development

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing and inspection, preferably on airframe or fuselage structures
  • Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards such as AS9100
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities
  • Certification in inspection or quality (e.g., CMM, NDT, or equivalent) is an asset

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience supporting OEM aerospace programs
  • Hands-on experience working with:
    • Aircraft structures
    • Fuselage sections or assemblies
  • Background in supplier quality or source inspection environments
