Base Location

You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in Glasgow Eurocentral

Salary

£30,684 - £36,666 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

As an S2P Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting and administering the Source to Procure (S2P) process within the Procurement and Commercial Centre of Enablement (CoEn)

You will

  • Work as part of a collaborative team, providing a helpdesk service to both the Procurement function and the wider SSE business, offering expert guidance and support on S2P systems, processes, buying channels, and master data management.
  • Help ensure our procurement systems are maintained effectively, enabling efficient purchasing activities and delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Support the end-to-end purchasing process, from onboarding new suppliers through to the creation and management of Purchase Orders and Purchase Agreements.
  • Be responsible for the creation and maintenance of buying channels, helping to simplify and streamline the purchasing experience for our users.
  • As a key focus of the role will be supporting SSE's drive to increase the adoption and utilisation of approved buying channels by creating and maintaining Purchase Agreements within an ERP. Through this work, you will help improve procurement compliance, enhance user experience, and contribute to the delivery of efficient and effective procurement operations.

You have

  • A good understanding of SSE as a diverse business with ability to interpret business needs and manage expectations with a range of different customers.
  • A familiarity with general procurement procedures and have excellent communication and analytical skills. Using the principles of continuous improvement, you will also make suggestions to further enable process efficiencies within the Procurement and Commercial Shared Service.
  • Process orientated approach with experience of using Procurement related software such as ERP (Oracle) and Sourcing to Contract (Jaggaer) systems. Further experience of using CRM or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is also preferred.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is important, as is managing your time effectively and working to deadlines.
