Sourcing Analyst | Tarmac | Hybrid Working

Love turning data into commercial decisions that make a real impact? At Tarmac, we're looking for a highly analytical Sourcing Analyst to help optimise one of the UK's largest supply networks. This is an exciting opportunity to influence key business decisions, improve profitability, and ensure products reach customers from the most efficient and cost-effective locations.

If you enjoy solving complex challenges, working with large datasets, and collaborating across multiple business functions, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sourcing Analyst, you'll sit at the heart of our national Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, using insight and analysis to drive smarter supply decisions across our manufacturing and distribution network.

You'll:

  • Analyse customer demand, production capacity, transport costs and service requirements to identify the optimal source of supply
  • Support network optimisation by balancing cost, capacity and customer service considerations
  • Maintain and develop sourcing models, tracking performance, costs, revenues and supply exceptions
  • Investigate non-optimal supply routes and quantify their commercial impact
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities
  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics teams to improve efficiency and margin
  • Support monthly S&OP reviews by providing data-led recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Help develop dashboards and analytical tools using platforms such as Power BI and Anaplan

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
