The Role

The Sourcing Business Partner role is a trusted advisor to Nest Invest (NI), collaborating with this part of the business to provide early commercial and procurement advice and identify opportunities to create better value & opportunity for NI. The Sourcing Business Partner will manage and deliver pipelines of procurement activities and collaborate with other business partners across the organisation, ensuring procurement activity is delivered to meet business needs and is compliant with the relevant regulations.


The Person

The successful role holder will be an experienced Procurement professional with a strong background in delivering end-to-end procurement activities within complex, regulated, or public sector environments and with investment industry experience preferred. They will be able to provide strategic procurement guidance, manage stakeholder relationships, and translate business requirements into effective sourcing strategies that deliver value and compliance.   • Several years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commercial contract management, ideally with both, public sector and investment environment experience.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement regulations, including Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Public Procurement Act 2023.
  • Experience managing end-to-end tender processes, including developing procurement documentation, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract award.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide expert advice on procurement strategy, market dynamics, and sourcing approaches.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to balance value for money, risk management, and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear procurement scopes and deliver effective outcomes.

Directorate/Department Overview

The Finance Directorate, led by the Chief Financial Officer and their leadership team, is made up of two distinct teams:

  • Finance
  • Strategic Sourcing

This role would be responsible for delivering core activity within the Strategic Sourcing Team in support of sourcing & commercial activity carried out on behalf of Nest Invest.
