Sourcing Deal Governance Manager

Locations: Manchester or Knutsford hybrid working

Working Pattern: 3 days a week onsite

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 12 months

Day rate: Inside IR35 through an umbrella company

Role Overview

Deloitte Operations are seeking a Sourcing Manager for an exciting opportunity supporting their Tier 1 Banking client.

Support the Sourcing Deal Governance Lead in governance oversight for Sourcing Deal Governance globally, helping to facilitate securing of deal approvals, and creating a greater visibility of the long range pipeline and category plans.

The role will focus on governance data and processes; pipeline development, tracking, monitoring, and analysis; and dissemination of governance materials, as required — all while ensuring ownership of content remains with relevant contributing stakeholders. The role will also become a Subject Matter Expert and trusted adviser on appropriate governance procedures and policies, such as approval limits.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Definition and maintenance of policies and accountabilities supporting a centralised governance model (e.g. materiality thresholds, linkage to Sourcing specific governance, handoffs, approval limits)
  • Administration of a robust deal pipeline linking all contributing Boards & Forums
  • Responsible for ongoing governance process improvements, naturally inquisitive and seeking ways to automate and create simplification for Sourcing Managers
  • Understanding of functional governance in order to provide check and challenge
  • Building a simple to use repository of documentation that is maintained in current state, easy to locate and navigate and subject to regular review and scrutiny

Planning & Coordination

  • Support the build out, and maintenance of the Category Plan Review Calendar, ensuring inputs and Contributors are timely, on brief and available for presentation to Boards & Forums as per agreed timelines
  • Support development of, and maintain, the relationship between deal pipeline & category plans – creating a rich view for Sourcing & Procurement Leadership to share an informed and long range view to Senior Stakeholders across the business
  • Work with Board Secretariats to define operating principles in line with the Financial Discretion Limits, Terms of References & Matters Reserved for the Board
