The Role
Are you a culinary connoisseur with a passion for creating masterful dishes? At BaxterStorey, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Responsibilities
- Menu and Dish Development: Assist in creating, refining, and executing menus that align with guest expectations and culinary excellence.
- Team Coordination: Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations during service.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards in food presentation, flavour, and consistency.
- Efficiency: Oversee food prep, storage, and waste management to optimise workflow.
- Collaboration: Work closely with executive chefs, senior management, and service teams to enhance guest experiences.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing training to upskill and adapt to industry trends.

Requirements
- Experience: Proven background as a Sous Chef or comparable senior kitchen role, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in prep, plating, and culinary techniques across various cuisines.
- Ability to manage workloads and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication to mentor teams and collaborate effectively.
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP, and sustainability practices.
- Attitude:
- Passion and curiosity for culinary innovation.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented mindset with a drive to mentor others.
- (No strict prerequisites—we welcome motivated candidates at all levels who are eager to grow.)
Salary & Contract
- Salary: Up to £38,500 per annum (with salary confirmation up to £39,000).
- Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday).
- Contract: Permanent.
