Sous Chef
Responsible for
To assist the Head Chef in ensuring that food preparation, food production, and food service is carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with the food hygiene HACCP regulations.

General Duties

Arrival & Grooming:
- Arrive promptly on duty as scheduled, wearing a full, clean, and presentable uniform, adhering to company grooming policy.
- Maintain the highest levels of personal and work cleanliness, ensuring compliance with HACCP requirements during all duties.

Uniform & Hygiene Standards:
- Ensure all staff maintain the agreed standard for uniform and personal hygiene in the kitchen.
- Verify that all food purchased meets agreed standards.

Staff Training & Development:
- Ensure staff are trained to the agreed standard.

Menu & Quality Assurance
- Menu Preparation:
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and compiling menus for daily business, functions, and events.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor all dishes prepared in the kitchen to ensure they conform to agreed standards prior to food service.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Comply with company legislation regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, Food Hygiene, Customer Care, and Security.
- Comply with delivery intake of produce.
Cleanliness & Maintenance
- Cleaning & Hygiene:
- Ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to and carry out daily hygiene checks.
- Adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct.
Administrative & Supportive Roles
- Order Processing:
- Carry out ordering duties as required.
