Sous Chef
Sous Chef – The Blues Kitchen, London
The Blues Kitchen is searching for a strong Sous Chef to join our vibrant London kitchen. Renowned for bold, indulgent yet beautifully crafted dishes—think perfectly cooked steaks, award-winning buffalo wings, fresh seasonal ingredients and big flavours—we thrive on speed and precision without compromising quality.
This is a role for someone who loves proper cooking, enjoys leading a passionate team and excels in London’s dynamic kitchen environment. You’ll support the Head Chef to run a lean, efficient and high-performing kitchen, ensuring every plate that leaves the line is exceptional.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead high-volume shifts, ensuring smooth services and flawless pass execution
- Mentor junior chefs and foster skill development within the team
- Maintain rigorous food quality, consistency and presentation standards
- Work alongside the Head Chef to manage prep, ordering, stock control and waste reduction
- Champion food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation with absolute commitment
- Cultivate a positive, united kitchen culture where teamwork drives excellence

What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Sous Chef or the potential of a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step into a leadership role
- Proven track record managing busy services in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens
- A passionate commitment to fresh, flavourful and meticulous cooking
- Strong leadership skills, including motivating teams under pressure
- Expertise in food safety, stock management and operational efficiency
- Composure in high-stress situations with an unwavering appreciation for craft and professionalism
