Sous Chef Opportunity at Morrisons Head Office

Are you a talented and experienced Sous Chef looking for the chance to help lead a fast-paced kitchen - all while still enjoying your evenings and weekends?

We've got an exciting opportunity for a passionate Sous Chef to join our Catering team at Morrisons Head Office in Bradford. This is a full-time permanent role, working 5 days over 7, typically Monday - Friday with a 3pm finish! Flexibility is required for occasional Saturdays and evening events, but you'll benefit from a rota that genuinely supports work-life balance.

Role Overview

As Sous Chef, you'll be second in command in our busy Head Office kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in leading a dedicated team and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality food every day. Our 600-seat colleague restaurant serves a wide variety of meals, from traditional favorites and healthy options to modern street food and seasonal specials. It's a high-volume, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and where your leadership, creativity, and calm under pressure will shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be hands-on in the kitchen, setting the tone for quality and consistency, and stepping up to lead the team in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Play a key role in developing menus, mentoring junior chefs, and supporting a strong culture of food safety and professionalism.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
