Sous Chef - Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Aramark UK is looking for an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join the hotels team at Chessington World of Adventures Resort. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Head Chef, acting as their second-in-command to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and ensure the team are productive and engaged
  • In the absence of Head Chef, assume responsibility for the overall kitchen operation
  • Support the Head Chef in maintaining weekly cleaning schedules, kitchen diaries, and completing regular audits
  • Support recruitment, training, and motivation of a large kitchen team to deliver best-in-class service
  • Maintain effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing stock, waste, and all associated financial responsibilities
  • To maintain food hygiene, service, and presentation to a high standard

  • A proven track record in a kitchen leadership role in a busy, high-volume environment
  • A passion for food and excellent service
  • IT literate, with experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible approach to working hours and duties
