Sous Chef – New Fine Dining Restaurant Opening, London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join the opening team of a highly anticipated fine dining restaurant in London.

This is a rare chance to be part of a new venture from the very beginning, working alongside an experienced leadership team to create an exceptional dining destination. The restaurant will focus on seasonal British produce, refined cooking techniques, and outstanding guest experiences in an elegant setting.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Lead and inspire the brigade to deliver exceptional standards.
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all services.
  • Assist with menu development, costing, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Help recruit, train, and develop junior members of the team.
  • Play a key role in establishing systems, culture, and standards ahead of launch.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within a high-quality fine dining or Michelin-standard environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of modern cooking techniques and seasonal produce.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Passion for developing teams and mentoring junior chefs.
  • Calm and professional approach under pressure.
  • A genuine desire to contribute to a successful restaurant opening.
