Company Description

Join one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants

For more than 50 years, Ubiquitous Chip has been at the heart of Glasgow's renowned food scene. Tucked away on the vibrant Ashton Lane, The Chip has built a legendary reputation for pioneering Scottish cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and an unforgettable dining experience.

Awarded 2 AA Rosettes and recognised by the Good Food Guide since 1971, we're proud to champion Scotland's finest seasonal produce, working with outstanding suppliers to showcase ingredients at their very best. From Oban-landed seafood to locally sourced meats and game, our menus celebrate the very best of Scottish cooking with a modern touch.

Beyond the restaurant, The Chip is home to a collection of unique spaces including our contemporary Brasserie, the lively Upstairs Bar, the Corner Bar with its extensive wine offering, the famous Wee Whisky Bar, and one of Glasgow's best-kept secrets – our beautiful rooftop terrace.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to become part of an iconic kitchen, helping to shape the next chapter of one of Scotland's most respected hospitality destinations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
