As a Sous Chef at EGO – Shadwell, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, food-focused environment where passion and teamwork fuel great dining experiences. Here’s what’s expected:
- Lead a kitchen section, ensuring your team operates as a cohesive, high-performing unit
- Step in as the team lead when the Head Chef is unavailable
- Train and develop team members to ensure consistent excellence in our Mediterranean-inspired cuisine
- Align culinary visions with our vibrant, character-driven Premium Pub & Restaurant brand

Your Responsibilities as Sous Chef
- Drive your team to hit culinary targets with precision and spirit
- Train and inspire colleagues to deliver dishes that meet—and exceed—our food standards
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on food ordering, preparation, and stock management
- Master menu consistency across our branded offering
- Maintain high confidence in managing Chefs and the wider kitchen team
- Ensure 100% compliance with health and hygiene protocols
