Wherever we are, we do more than serve. We bring places to life through food, service and creativity and we’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our team at Ironmongers Hall.
Location: Ironmongers Hall, EC2Y 8AA
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Predominantly Monday-Friday (Occasional weekends) 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food and service for up to 160 covers per day.
- Ensure all food is prepared and cooked safely, consistently, and to a high standard.
- Manage stock, ordering, and portion control to minimise waste and maintain cost targets.
- Monitor food costs and support budget management.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
- Lead and support the kitchen team, promoting strong teamwork and communication.
- Demonstrate excellent cooking skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Manage service effectively under pressure, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Resolve day-to-day challenges quickly while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.
