Salary & Benefits
- £14.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Approx. 40-44 hours per week
- One day off every weekend between Friday and Sunday
- Four-day working week
- Pro-rata share of tips

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our professional kitchen team in Hebden Bridge. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients, you’ll take ownership of your section and play a key role in delivering high-quality British cuisine. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys fresh cooking, takes pride in their work, and wants to develop and grow the ambitious team.

You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards, contribute ideas, and help create an exceptional dining experience for the guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Run your designated section during preparation and service
- Prepare and cook dishes to consistently high standards
- Maintain excellent presentation, quality and portion control
- Support and mentor junior kitchen team members
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained
- Monitor stock levels and help minimise waste
- Assist with receiving and checking deliveries
- Contribute ideas for seasonal menus and daily specials
- Work collaboratively to deliver smooth and efficient service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Strong cooking skills and passion for quality food
- Experience working with fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Calm and professional approach during busy service periods
- High standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)

Working Hours
- Weekend shifts rotated fairly across the team
- Approximately 40-44 hours per week
Pay & Progression
- Hourly rates are negotiable and will be determined based on experience, skills and suitability for the role.
- Following successful completion of a two-month probationary period, all team members receive a formal pay review, with the opportunity for a pay increase based on performance, development and contribution to the team.

You’ll be joining a close-knit kitchen brigade that values teamwork, mutual respect and consistently high standards.

- Kitchen Manager
- Head Chef
- 2x Chef de Partie
- Commis Chef
- Breakfast / Prep Chef
