About the Role
As a Sous Chef, you’ll help set the pace and define the standard, keeping service smooth and the team motivated. From leading shifts to supporting daily operations, you’ll bring energy, attention to detail, and hands-on leadership to every part of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Set the standard by delivering exceptional dishes that align with Prezzo Italian’s Hospitality Magic ethos, while guiding, training, and inspiring the team through shared expertise.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised kitchen by upholding food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP policies.
- Oversee and record essential kitchen paperwork—temperature checks, cleaning records, and compliance logs—ensuring accuracy and accountability.
- Assist with stock control, portioning, and waste reduction to drive sustainable and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage service, respond to feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
- Foster a positive, respectful kitchen culture, prioritising teamwork and shared achievement.
- Embrace feedback, refine leadership skills, and bring energy, enthusiasm, and resilience to every shift.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, with strong culinary skills and a passion for food.
- A natural leader who can motivate and inspire others in a team-first environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and compliance regulations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
