Sous Chef – Modern Brasserie | £20.30 per hour (Wed–Sun service)
Calling all talented Sous Chefs with gastro pub, premium casual dining, or modern British restaurant experience!
About the Role
We’re seeking a passionate, experienced Sous Chef to join our innovative kitchen team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment—whether in a fresh-food gastro pub or modern brasserie—this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your days will focus on delivering restaurant-level excellence while helping to shape innovative dishes, optimise efficiency, and promote sustainability. It’s a role that values creativity, teamwork, and culinary excellence.
Service pattern:
- Wed–Fri: Breakfast, lunch & dinner
- Sat & Sun: Breakfast & lunch
What You’ll Be Doing

Operations:
- Support daily kitchen workflows to ensure seamless service
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and stock control

Culinary Execution:
- Prepare and plate dishes with precision and consistency
- Assess and enhance existing menu offerings
- Contribute to daily specials, seasonal menus, and staff events

What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2+ years as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in gastro pub, modern British restaurant, premium casual dining, or fresh-food environment
- Technical Skills:
- Exceptional culinary skills with an eye for detail
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP), stock rotation, and sustainable practices
- Soft Skills:
- A hands-on, solution-focused attitude
- Excellent communication and team leadership
- Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for fresh ingredients and delivering exceptional guest experiences
