We are searching for a passionate Sous Chef who is truly drawn to food to join our Eurest team in London. We look for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment, is confident in backing at all times the Head Chef, and brings both skill and flair to every service.
This role delivers the opportunity for a driven chef eager to help create exceptional dining experiences through mentorship and leadership. You’ll support a seasoned group of chefs, assist in menu development, and provide flavour, precision, and robust energy in every meal.
Services we focus on include breakfast, lunch, dinner, hospitality, and retail.
At Eurest, we specialise in workplace catering, operating across over 700 work environments daily. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef to deliver each service exceptionally, ensuring every dish reflects flavour, consistency, and visual appeal—from simplistic grab-and-go options to elegantly presented plated meals.
- Encourage curiosity and creativity, contributing to smart, sustainable, and nutritious menus.
- Foster a positive, high-performance kitchen culture that champions culinary standards.
- Oversee stock ordering, waste reduction, and kitchen organisation to ensure seamless operations.
- Uphold the highest hygiene and safety standards with dished presentation that is both considerate and exemplary.
- Engage in training, mentoring, and growth opportunities for junior chefs within the brigade.
What You'll Bring to the Table
✅ A consistent, proven track record as a Sous Chef, preferably with experience in high-quality contract catering. ✅ Passionate love for food—think of modern techniques, bold flavours, and balanced plating. ✅ Strong organisational skills, including managing rotas, prep schedules, and supply management. ✅ Commitment to developing others, evidenced by leading by example and setting high culinary standards. ✅ Sharp eye for detail, excelling in food safety, consistency, and presentation. ✅ Dedication to cost control, smart energising ingredients, and minimising waste—because great flavour should also be responsible.
