Sous Chef
As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in the successful running of the kitchen. You will be part of a small but perfectly formed team of creative and ambitious chefs who work in a relaxed manor, there is no shouting in this kitchen. You will begin by learning the existing menu and understanding how the kitchen works, before going onto assisting the Head Chef with recruitment, training, supplier relations, menu development and more.
Requirements
- Previous experience and confidence in managing a kitchen team
- A passion for hospitality
- A role model of delivering food quality and hygiene standards
- A good communicator
Responsibilities
- Train, motivate and inspire your team to deliver an efficient food operation
- Be responsible for the kitchen’s financial performance
- Oversee food ordering and food preparation
- Ensure delivery of operational standards
- Manage a team
- Control stock
- Conform to health and hygiene regulations
